The Vermont Corporate Cup Challenge and State Agency Race takes place the second Thursday in May. NSB participated in the 34^th annual race this year, as we have for the past several years. This year 17 teams of 3 people ran or walked the 5 kilometer course which winds its way through the streets, sidewalks and pedestrian path in the capital city of Montpelier. Our group of 51 participants joined more than 4000 others from State agencies, non-profit organizations and businesses to promote physical fitness in the workplace by bringing employees together to enjoy the experience. Proceeds from the event benefit the programs and events of the Vermont Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.

The Bank pays the entrance fee for each NSB team member, supplies a team shirt and gives cash prizes in several categories including most improved runner and walker, fastest new runner and walker, best team finishes for runners and walkers and fastest overall runner and walker. Members of the NSB Wellness Team organize the Bank’s participation in this fun event.
