South Hero, VT – Northfield Savings Bank (NSB) participated in a volunteer workday at Camp Ta-Kum-Ta in South Hero to help prepare the camp facilities for their next season of programming. NSB has a long history of support with the camp and organizes an annual workday for bank employees to help out at camp and experience a little of what Camp Ta-Kum-Ta has to offer.

Employees made the trek to camp Thursday, September 14th to “get their hands dirty,” working on a variety of tasks with the purpose of helping the camp remain a picturesque escape for children and their families dealing with the hardships associated with cancer. Lawn mowing, weeding, trimming branches, and fixing cabin decks were just some of the tasks performed by NSB volunteers.

Camp Ta-Kum-Ta welcomes more than 20 companies and organizations annually for similar volunteer workdays. Community support is crucial for Camp Ta-Kum-Ta to continue offering the experiences it does for families within its network.
