The Mad River Taste Place and Northfield Savings Bank united to host the Mad River Valley Chamber mixer on August 15th.  The team from the Waitsfield branch were present to welcome attendees, network with neighbors and hand out custom cupcakes, courtesy of Mix Cupcakerie and Kitchen.  The chocolate and vanilla cupcakes were beautifully adorned with frosting in NSB's signature colors of gray and gold.

The Mad River Taste Place is a new facility which features foods and beverages from local growers and farmers.  Converted from an old bank, the tasting center offers small education and training classes, as well as goods available to purchase.  As the new headquarters of the Vermont Cheese Council, Mad River Taste Place proudly displays products from nearly 56 local cheese makers.  Additionally, ciders, brews and liquors are available from Lawson's Finest Liquids and Mad River Distillers to name a few.  Visitors can learn about the local creations, try some samples and purchase treats to take home.
