The Norwich Cadets hosted Assumption College, SUNY Cortland and Salve Regina University at Kreitzberg Arena for the 10th Annual Northfield Savings Bank Holiday Tournament on January 3rd and 4th. The annual holiday tournament tradition started at Norwich in 1999, and this is the tenth year with sponsorship from Northfield Savings Bank (NSB).

The Norwich University Men’s Ice Hockey Team rallied past Assumption College in their first game of the tournament Friday, January 3, advancing them to the championship game Saturday evening. They faced SUNY Cortland after their upset to No. 6 ranked Salve Regina 5-4 in the opening game of the tournament. After skating to a 2-2 tie through regulation and a five-minute overtime period, SUNY Cortland topped the Cadets 2-1 in the shootout to claim the tournament title.
