Barre, VT – Despite Vermont’s fall foliage being on full display as the calendar moved into October, last Sunday provided a last hoorah of gorgeous summer weather for drivers and spectators alike at the Thunder Road Speedbowl.

Graniteville’s Stephen Donahue captured victory in the 61st Annual Vermont Milk Bowl, winning with 19 points across the 3-segment race over Barre’s Nick Sweet (22 points), a former Milk Bowl champion. Donahue celebrated his win with a kiss from a dairy cow and a gallon of Booth Brothers milk in Victory Lane with his father, John Donahue, who won the Milk Bowl in 2009.

With this year’s Milk Bowl now in the rearview, the 2023 racing season has now ended. Congratulations to all the drivers and their crews for a job well done and we wish you the best of luck next year!
